SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
SMART ENGINEERING

CO₂ Capture

Our CO2 capture engineering covers the full project lifecycle, from process design and Heat & Mass Balance development to detailed engineering, 3D design and automation.

Our engineering scope can include:

  • Design of bespoke CO₂ capture plants based on salt-based solvents
  • Development of Heat & Mass Balances
  • Basic design
  • Detailed design
  • 3D design
  • Electrical design
  • Process automation and control

By combining process, mechanical, electrical and automation engineering, we develop an integrated plant design in which the different engineering disciplines are aligned from the start.

NAMTA supports both the development of completely new CO₂ capture plants and modifications to existing installations.

For new-build projects, we can develop the engineering from the initial process concept and Heat & Mass Balance through to basic design, detailed design, 3D design, electrical engineering and process automation.

For existing installations, we assess the current plant and develop engineering solutions for modifications, upgrades or the integration of CO₂ capture technology.

Existing equipment, available space, process conditions and operational requirements are taken into account when developing the design.

For this project, NAMTA worked closely with a project partner responsible for supplying the CO₂ capture installation to the end customer.

NAMTA provided the multidisciplinary engineering, including the Heat & Mass Balance, basic design, detailed design, 3D design, electrical design, and process automation and control.

We also provided technical support and supervision during skid fabrication, helping to translate the engineering into a practical and buildable installation.
