Biogas upgrading engineering for existing plants
For existing biogas plants, optimisation often starts with identifying process bottlenecks, capacity limitations and changes in gas composition or operating conditions. NAMTA develops targeted engineering solutions around the existing installation, with the aim of improving plant performance, reliability and integration. Our scope can include process evaluation, basic and detailed engineering, equipment modifications, chiller upgrades, gas handling improvements and automation changes. By combining process knowledge with practical engineering, we can support phased upgrades without the need for a complete plant replacement.
The same approach can also be applied to new projects, where the biogas upgrading system is engineered around the required gas quality, capacity, site conditions and project objectives.

NAMTA supported the conversion of a boiler for digester heating from land fill gas to a dual raw biogas / upgraded biogas. NAMTA engineered the required process upgrades, PID’s, component selection and software narratives.

NAMTA engineered and supplied an integrated air cooler and chiller upgrade for an existing Green Gas Installation (GGI). The scope included basic design, detailed design and supply of the gas cooling solution.
